The University of the Cordilleras warmly welcomed its newest batch of students through two major events that marked the beginning of their collegiate journey, the Freshies Orientation 2025 on September 29 and 30, and the Open House on October 1.

The orientation, held at the UC Gymnasium, gave students a dynamic introduction to university life. Divided into morning and afternoon sessions, the two-day event accommodated all colleges, ensuring active participation and engagement. Each session opened with lively performances from the UC Percussion and Orchestra, interactive activities like the Click, Clique, & Caption challenge, and spirited numbers from the UC Chorale, UC Dance Squad, and Wushu Taolu Athletes.
University and college officials were introduced through audiovisual presentations, while representatives from the Student Affairs Office, Registrar, and other service units provided key information and answered student inquiries. Icebreakers and games kept the energy high throughout the sessions, ending with performances and the announcement of contest winners.
The excitement continued the next day during the Student Organizations’ Open House, organized by the Student Affairs Services (SAS). The UC Gymnasium transformed into a lively showcase of academic and non-academic organizations, each booth offering creative displays, fun games, and opportunities for freshmen to connect. The UC Peer Facilitators (UCPF) stood out with interactive activities such as the Color Game, Match the Potions, and Buzz Wire Challenge, where participants competed for snacks, pins, and candies.

Beyond the fun and games, the UCPF booth embodied the organization’s mission of fostering connection, mental well-being, and belonging within the UC community. The day concluded with a Recognition Ceremony, where participating organizations proudly received their Certificates of Participation.
For the UC Peer Facilitators, Freshies Day 2025 was more than just a university event but a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and togetherness. They reminded everyone that at UC, true belonging begins with open hearts, shared smiles, and a sense of community brought to life through their little touch of festive magic.
