KAAGAPAY: Support Groups
The support groups aim to provide a safe and nurturing space where students can connect with peers who share similar experiences and access tailored interventions and resources that promote mental health and holistic well-being. The following are the current established groups:
Peer Facilitation Program
The UC Peer Facilitators Organization is a transformative and accredited group that serves as an extension of the Guidance Services and Wellness Center. Peer facilitators are trained, skilled, and supervised students who assist in implementing guidance services. They also conduct psycho-educational activities for fellow students and refer those needing professional mental health support to the office.
The UC Peer Facilitators Organization utilizes Facebook application and the University’s Canvas Learning Management System in conducting and facilitating
activities.

A Peer Tutor assist students in their academic journey by providing support that enhances achievement while fostering self-learning and independence. (Peer Tutor Recruitment for Project CHAMPION)
The Peer Tutoring Program builds upon one academic community’s greatest strengths, the pervasive culture of passionate support from all members of its family, by coordinating efforts for students to help students so not just one, but all Jaguars can achieve their very best. Enrichment Program: Mental Health and Well-Being
The enrichment program provides a supportive and engaging environment that empowers students to discover their strengths, set meaningful goals, and develop essential skills for long-term success. It promotes self-confidence, self-awareness, improved study habits, social-emotional growth, informed decision-making, and active participation in a positive school community.
