The journey from the classroom to the professional world begins with preparation, confidence, and the courage to take the next step. With this in mind, the seminar “From Classroom to Career: Preparing for a Successful Job Interview” was conducted on September 5, 2026, from 2:15 PM to 3:30 PM, bringing together 75 participants for an activity focused on career readiness and professional development.
The seminar featured Daphne E. Zaparita, Rpm, MS Psych, Coordinator of the Guidance Services and Wellness Center, as the resource speaker. Drawing on her expertise in helping students prepare for successful job interviews, she guided the participants in recognizing the importance of interview preparation as they transition from academic life to the workplace.
Beyond academic achievements and technical knowledge, succeeding in a job interview also requires confidence and the ability to communicate one’s strengths effectively. The seminar highlighted the importance of equipping students with practical skills and the readiness to face the challenges of the recruitment process. It served as a valuable opportunity for participants to reflect on their preparation for future employment and on the professional expectations that accompany entering the workforce.

Behind the successful conduct of the activity was the collaborative effort of the organizing team, composed of Zhyre Abastilla, Janpierre Aquino, Harvey Basinga, Wilbur Depao, Jordan Lamyong, Micheal Maaba, Joshua Molina, and Andre Somera. Their efforts helped bring the seminar to fruition and provided 75 participants with an opportunity to engage in a meaningful career-oriented learning experience.
The event also received an excellent rating of 9 out of 10 in the organizers’ self-evaluation, reflecting a positive assessment of the seminar’s planning, logistical coordination, speaker coordination, participant engagement, and overall execution.
Ultimately, “From Classroom to Career: Preparing for a Successful Job Interview” emphasized that preparing for a career begins long before the first day at work. By encouraging students to build confidence and strengthen their interview readiness, the seminar reinforced the importance of bridging academic learning and real-world professional demands.
As students take their next steps toward their chosen careers, the lessons from the seminar serve as a reminder that every opportunity begins with preparation—and that a successful interview can be the first step toward a promising professional future.
