UC Guidance Services and Wellness Center Holds Kaagapay Support Group General Assembly

Last May 25, 2026. As part of the celebration of the Guidance Month 2026, the Guidance Services and Wellness Center (GSWC) successfully conducted the Kaagapay Support Group General Assembly, anchored on the theme “Common Ground: Stories of Belonging.” The event gathered students from across the University for a meaningful day of connection, reflection, and community-building.

Inspired by the message, “No emotion left behind, because every story deserves a place to belong,” the assembly aimed to create a safe and welcoming space where students could freely express themselves, share their experiences, and build meaningful relationships. Open to all UC students, the event also served as an invitation to those seeking a supportive community where they could feel seen, heard, and valued.

The program featured a series of interactive activities, empowering talks, and sharing sessions that encouraged participants to reflect on their personal journeys while connecting with fellow students from diverse backgrounds. Through these activities, students fostered empathy, strengthened interpersonal connections, and discovered common ground in their shared experiences.

Participants were also introduced to the University’s Kaagapay Support Groups—SUMIKOM, Pahimakas, SINAG, and ALPAS—which provide peer support and safe spaces that promote students’ emotional well-being, personal growth, and holistic development.

More than a general assembly, the event reaffirmed the Guidance Services and Wellness Center’s commitment to empowering not only members of the Kaagapay Support Groups but also students seeking a community of support and belonging. By encouraging authentic conversations and meaningful connections, the initiative highlighted the importance of fostering a campus culture where every student feels accepted and supported.

True to its theme, “Common Ground: Stories of Belonging,” the Kaagapay Support Group General Assembly reminded participants that just as every emotion has its place, every student belongs at the University of the Cordilleras.
