The quiet dedication of student assistants is one of the many forces that help keep a university community moving forward.
From February 26 – 28th earlier this year, the Student Development and Welfare Center (SDWC) and the Guidance Services and Wellness Center (GSWC) conducted a three-day Team Building Program for the university’s Student Assistants, with Sir Johnfrey Cabalonga, Ma’am Aira Verceles, and Ma’am Jezreel Donna Tandoc serving as key speakers and facilitators alongside the office interns, who played a significant role in leading and facilitating the activities throughout the program.
Over the course of the three days, participants were given opportunities to strengthen their communication, teamwork, coordination, and problem-solving skills through interactive activities, discussions, and collaborative experiences prepared by the facilitators and interns. More importantly, the program became a space that encouraged reflection, confidence-building, connection, and growth among the student assistants who continue to serve the university community behind the scenes.
It was inspiring to witness the support, encouragement, and willingness to grow that filled the room during those three days. Each of the Student Assistants who participated, as well as all the other individuals who supported the success of the program, contributed greatly to an environment that continues to encourage leadership, service, and personal development.
